2017 National History Day - Taking a Stand

Medina Valley 8th grade Middle School students competed in the 3rd annual district level competition for National History Day on Thursday, Jan 5th. This year’s theme was "Taking a Stand". The competition presentations could be presented through essay, performance, documentary, exhibit board, or website. The 8th graders did an outstanding job with their topics; from Rosa Parks and Jackie Robinson, to Amelia Earhart and Selena Quintanilla, to the Alamo and 9/11. We are extremely proud of all of our students hard work and dedication! The winners of the competition will go on to Regional at Texas A&M San Antonio in February. Best of luck to those students!
