MVMS Volleyball Girls Team: 7th & 8th

The following is the summary of the Medina Valley Middle School Girls Volleyball Team for both 7th and 8th grade.

8A VOLLEYBALL vs BANDERA

The 8th grade volleyball girls faced off against Bandera Bulldogs in Bandera. 

The 8th grade A team got off to a rocky start with Bandera leading for most of the first match but that did not sway our confidence and we were able to come out on top in the end with a score of 25-19.
The second match we managed to hold the lead the whole game. Bandera tried to fight back in the end inching closer and closer but we pushed through and finished the match with a win and a score of 25-21. The girls really showed great improvement and fought hard to come out on top! That leaves us with a record of 2-2. 

The stat leaders for the night were:
Kyla Solis with 5 kills and 2 aces
Makenzee DeCock with 3 kills and 3 aces
Alyssa Theole with 2 aces and 10 assists
Macy Livingston with 5 digs

The panthers will host Boerne North next Monday! Please come out to support!

8B VOLLEYBALL vs BANDERA

The Panthers traveled to Bandera Monday night to take on the Lady Bulldogs. The 8th grade B team came out strong despite a few errors and won in 2 sets with scores of 25-13 and 25-11. This win brings the B team record to 3-1. 

Top stats for the night include: 
Corina Castanon with 4 aces and 2 kills. 
Caroline Williams with 3 aces. 
Essence Cummings with 3 kills. 

We play Boerne North at home on Monday. Go Panthers!

7A VOLLEYBALL vs BANDERA

On Monday, September 19th, the Panthers traveled to Bandera to meet up with the Bulldogs. The girls started off slow but Jordan Schott got the girls going by putting up 4 straight points up on the board and Hannah Huron continued by adding 6 points off serves.
Bandera kept hanging in there and giving the girls a run for their money as they squeaked by with a win in the first set with a score of 25-20.  The Panthers still could not find their rhythm but were able to pull off a win with the final score of 25-17.  The Panthers will host Boerne next Monday, Sept. 26th .  Good luck girls and Go Panthers Go!!!

7B VOLLEYBALL vs BANDERA

The 7th grade B team traveled to take on Bandera Monday evening and came away with a victory with scores of 25-16 and 25-11. The team did an incredible job of running an offensive play every opportunity they had. The girls really attacked at the net and played great defense. Great job on the win Lady Panthers!
